Expeditors is a global logistics company headquartered in Seattle, Washington.   
They are a long-standing client of Grapevine Connect, and we look after their Alcatel enterprise sites throughout Europe.

We were approached by, Adam Marry, the Dublin (Ireland), IS Specialist for: Information Services, regarding their site in Cork, which was moving to a new site and they were unable to transfer the ISDN 2 Lines to the new premises – we were tasked to propose an alternative solution.  

The SIP enabling the Alcatel Omni PBX Enterprise core in London was not cost effective and would involve advanced network configuration that would be difficult to implement on the corporate network. Grapevine proposed a SIP Solution to ISDN 30 Gateway, this was installed on a voice-only-connection so it remained completely independent of the corporate LAN.

The solution was bench tested in house and pre-port testing was carried out with the Irish SIP provider. 
The hardware was then shipped to Cork in advance of the move, the equipment was connected on site with all configuration done remotely, with the local site details and test calls made to ensure limited down time when the PBX was moved over the weekend.

The last piece of the puzzle was the task to port the existing telephone numbers away from the PSTN network to the new SIP Trunk carrier, which was completed the Friday evening before the move.

Grapevine managed the installation on the weekend of the move, our engineers were on site and available on the following Monday to ensure everything ran smoothly.
