This month brought an exciting deployment of a 1Gbps microwave link over the distance of 1km for a large academy trust school in Devon. The schools current 1Gb link had died which had forced them to run all traffic over their backup 300Mbps link which was causing a severe bottle neck due to the traffic type.  We successfully designed and installed the link using millimetre wavelength technology developed by leading V & E band radio manufacturer, Siklu.

The school now has gigabit connectivity between its two campuses with Interference-free operation in the 70/80GHz band with TDD support.
